Jehovah's Witnesses (Watchtower
Bible and Tract Society) teach that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the
first created spirit son of God the Father. God's name is Jehovah
(Ex 6:3; You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth, published by
the Watchtower Society; p.58; Aid. p.391). What follows are biblical verses
that show that the Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus Christ of the
New Testament.
As you study the Old Testament
verses given below keep in mind that the Hebrew word for Jehovah is translated
as "Lord" in the King James Version (and many other translations)
of the Bible. Note the capital L and small capitals "ord" (see Ex 3:13-14;
